The production briefing for the film ‘Firefighter’ was held successfully on November 8 at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by main actors such as Joo Won, Yoo JaeMyung, Lee YooYoung, Kim MinJae, Oh DaeHwan, Lee JunHyuk, and Jang YoungNam, who shared various stories about the film.
In particular, actor Lee JunHyuk drew attention by performing dangerous scenes without a stunt double. Speaking about the scene where he sets himself on fire during filming, he said, “I applied gel safely and filmed the scene,” adding, “I was scared of fire due to a burn experience in my childhood, but thanks to the safe environment provided, I was able to film safely.” He continued, “Overcoming such difficulties and challenging myself left a special memory.”
Lee JunHyuk also mentioned, “Since all the actors emphasized on-site realism during filming, I couldn’t use a stunt double alone,” and added, “The film itself deals with trauma related to fire, which made it even more meaningful.” He noted that this is his second time playing a firefighter role and took on the role due to a special connection.
Based on a true story, the film ‘Firefighter’ vividly depicts the urgent on-site situation of the Seobu Fire Station team dispatched to suppress the Hongje-dong fire in March 2001. The film is scheduled to meet audiences on December 4. Future release schedules and audience reactions are highly anticipated.
