K-pop sensations SUPER JUNIOR-D&E brought their highly acclaimed world tour, 2024 SUPER JUNIOR-D&E WORLD TOUR: ECLIPSE in HONG KONG, to the vibrant city of Hong Kong. The duo graced the stage at the AXA x Bamboo Garden in West Kowloon Cultural District for two consecutive nights starting December 7. The concert marked a special occasion as it coincided with their upcoming 13th debut anniversary on December 16, making the performances even more significant.
Over two hours of electrifying performances saw Donghae and Eunhyuk perform more than 20 songs, delivering an unforgettable evening for ANNIEs (their fanbase) from Hong Kong and around the world.
The show opened with a bang as the duo surprised the audience by performing Super Junior’s classic hit, “Rock Your Body,” wearing dazzling sequined jackets that showcased their legendary group synergy. Keeping the energy alive, the pair followed up with tracks like “Twisted,” “B.A.D,” and “Danger,” sending fans into a frenzy. The unified chants and the striking sapphire blue lightsticks created a mesmerizing visual throughout the venue.
Taking a brief intermission, Donghae and Eunhyuk greeted fans warmly, impressing the crowd with their improving Cantonese, saying, “We are Super Junior-D&E!” They cheekily addressed the audience as “BB chu~,” a term of endearment that sent the crowd into fits of excitement. Reflecting on their visits to Hong Kong, they noted the city’s usual rainy weather but expressed their delight at performing under clear skies.
The duo’s heartfelt bond with their fans was evident throughout the evening. After performing group hits like “Hang Over,” they showcased individual talents with Eunhyuk performing “Be” and dazzling fans with his incredible dance moves, while Donghae charmed the audience with his solo number, “California Love.” They also performed Super Junior classics like “One More Chance” and “I Think I,” evoking a wave of nostalgia as fans joined in a heartfelt sing-along.
For the encore, the duo opted for a lighter vibe, choosing songs like “’Bout You,” “Need You,” and “Share My Love” to end on a joyous note. They shared how much fun they had performing outdoors in Hong Kong for the first time. Fans reciprocated the love by organizing a special event, raising roses for the duo. Touched by the gesture, Donghae and Eunhyuk praised the fans in Cantonese, saying, “So beautiful!”
