Spotify – the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service, has launched its annual campaign and personalised user experience – celebrating the fans, artists, and creators who made this year the record-breaking, culture-making, fandom-shaking year that it was. From showing users how their taste in music evolved throughout the year to delivering their Wrapped results via a new personalised experience, 2024 Spotify Wrapped gives fans even more ways to indulge in what they love. Spotify is also sharing global and local top lists, showcasing how the world listened in 2024.
2024 showed up with its own set of trends and moments that redefined the music landscape. From breakout pop stars rocketing to the top of charts to genre-bending artists creating new waves, plus the notable success and growth of female artists – music continues to take a global stage as artists and genres break into new spaces like never before.
Most Streamed K-Pop Artist Globally:
Amassing billions of streams this year, BTS has emerged as the Global Top K-Pop Artist of 2024 Spotify Wrapped. The group’s members, JungKook (#2) and JiMin (#4), have also ranked amongst the top 5 most-streamed K-Pop artists globally alongside Stray Kids (#3) and NewJeans (#5). Most Streamed K-Pop Song Globally:
This year’s Global Top K-Pop Songs are a reflection of the genre’s diverse sounds and styles. On top of the list is “Who” by Jimin, which joined Spotify’s BILLIONS Club this year after maintaining its stronghold on the charts since its release. In second and third respectively are JungKook’s “Seven (feat. Latto)” and “Standing Next To You”. V also joins the list with his soul R&B solo track “Love Me Again” at #4, while breakout group ILLIT made their mark with earworm “Magnetic” at #5. With more than 26.2 billion streams globally, Taylor Swift is Spotify’s 2024 Global Top Artist for the second year in a row, followed by The Weeknd (#2), Bad Bunny (#3), Drake (#4), and Billie Eilish (#5).

JiMin and JungKook dominated the Top 5 with “Who” (#1), “Like Crazy” (#2) and “Closer Than This” (#5), and “Standing Next to You” (#3) and “Seven (feat. Latto)” (#4) respectively. The year also saw exciting new talent breaking through. Alongside “Magnetic” by ILLIT, “SHEESH” by RADAR Korea artist BABYMONSTER also earned a spot in the most-streamed K-Pop songs of the year at #15. Having made waves with their powerful performances and unique edgy sounds, BABYMONSTER has also proven to be one of the rising artists to watch as they round off the year on the list of most-streamed K-Pop Artists at #18. Additionally, indie rock band wave to earth enters the list at #17, signaling the growth of K-indie on the global stage.

Eligible users can now access their personalized 2024 Wrapped Experience exclusively in the Spotify mobile app (iOS and Android). Users can easily access their personalized user experience in the Wrapped feed on Home – and should ensure their Spotify app is updated in order to access.
Users will discover their top artists, favorite songs, total listening hours, and a new feature introduced this year: Your Music Evolution. As tastes and moods change throughout the year—and so does the music you listen to. This new data story reveals the musical phases that uniquely defined your year. Users will receive up to three distinctive musical phases, which are based on hundreds of thousands of unique descriptors, genres and artists.
Additionally, Spotify has also launched its 2024 Wrapped Creator Experience for Artists and Podcast Creators, with access to their own individualized Wrapped microsite experience, artists, and creators can dive into all the ways in which their fans listened this year.
