The dazzling festival of K-Pop, the ‘2024 MAMA Awards,’ captivated global fans as it opened its grand curtain at noon on November 22nd, Korean time, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, USA. This year’s ceremony featured performances by numerous artists, including Anderson .Paak and J.Y. Park, with actor Park BoGum hosting the event. The event was broadcast live worldwide through the Mnet channel.
In an interview before taking the stage, J.Y. Park reminisced about memorable moments from past MAMA Awards and hinted that this year’s performance would be spontaneous and natural. He presented his hit songs along with a new track, ‘Easy Lover,’ and received enthusiastic cheers from the audience with a drum and piano collaboration with Anderson .Paak.
J.Y. Park received the ‘Inspiring Achievement’ award at the ceremony and expressed gratitude to his colleagues at JYP Entertainment, including 2PM, DAY6, TWICE, and Stray Kids. He sincerely shared his award acceptance remarks, saying, “I want to give you strength and honor.”
The ‘2024 MAMA Awards’ was the first K-Pop awards ceremony held in the United States and is set to continue at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan.
