On November 16, two audition programs, ‘Project 7’ and ‘Starlight Boys’, will face off in a heated battle at the Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA). The KGMA organizing committee reported that since confirming these two teams’ appearance in the 2024 KGMA, each team has been receiving enthusiastic support from fans through social media.
‘Project 7’ heightened anticipation by releasing a poster with the message, “World Assembler, please support the trainees on the stage of ‘2024 KGMA’ this week.” Similarly, ‘Starlight Boys’ moved their fans with a special message, “Guardians, the boys will participate in the ‘2024 Korea Grand Music Awards’ on November 16. Please look forward to a special stage.”
This awards ceremony is garnering global attention from K-pop fans as it marks the debut stage for participants from the two audition programs. ‘Project 7’ proved its global popularity by ranking first in the K-pop category on Japan’s OTT platform Abema. Likewise, ‘Starlight Boys’, a joint Korean-Chinese audition program, left a strong impression on global fans by recording more than 3 million views.
