SM Entertainment revealed Irene’s mood clip and teaser images for her solo album ‘Like A Flower’ via Red Velvet’s official account at midnight on the 14th. In the video, Irene arrives in an unfamiliar city and roams the streets freely, showcasing visuals that stimulate visual senses.
Irene’s album features a variety of genres. The track ‘Summer Rain’ is an attractive pop ballad with a heavy bass and dreamy synth sound, highlighting Irene’s delicate vocals, which transition seamlessly between her head voice and chest voice. The lyrics convey hope, promising to protect and overcome together despite swaying like a daisy caught in the summer rain.
Additionally, ‘Calling Me Back’ is a futuristic pop R&B dance track that blends an 808 bass and trap beat with dreamy synth and piano lines.
