A new festival of Korean popular music, the ‘Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA)’, will raise its first curtain at the Inspire Arena on the 16th and 17th. This award ceremony is set to be a contest stage for third-generation representative audition programs, with ‘Project 7’ and ‘Starlight Boys’ confirmed to appear, garnering fans’ expectations.
‘Project 7’ is simultaneously aired on Korea’s JTBC and Japan’s Abema OTT platform, gaining remarkable popularity, including ranking first in the K-pop category. They are set to showcase a special performance titled ‘Trainees Special Stage’ at the KGMA. ‘Starlight Boys’ is a Korean-Chinese joint global audition program, proving its global popularity with over 1.5 million viewers and views. They are set to deliver a dynamic and high-quality performance through the stage ‘Starlight Stage, Shining Dreams’.
Each team is preparing their stage under strict security and will meet for the first time at the rehearsal stage on the night of Friday the 15th. The rival competition that the two teams will showcase on the same stage is attracting great attention.
At the Korea Grand Music Awards, a total of 32 artists, including NewJeans, EXO D.O., TVXQ, BIBI, and aespa, are set to perform 100 songs. The award ceremony is themed ‘The Birth of the Galaxy’ and is expected to provide unforgettable moments for K-pop fans.
