Singer Lee Moon-sae expressed his deep affection for his musical journey and his firm decision not to retire. During a press conference for his 17th regular album held on November 13 at the Stanford Hotel Korea in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Lee Moon-sae reflected on his 40-year music career and shared his thoughts on his comeback.
He expressed gratitude to his fans, saying, “It’s been over 40 years since I started singing in front of the public. There have been many tough times and obstacles to overcome, but I was able to come this far with the applause I received during that time.”
Currently communicating with listeners daily through MBC Radio’s ‘Hello, This is Lee Moon-sae’, he expressed his intention to continue his music activities, saying, “I feel like I can keep doing this for more than 20 years.” He also shared, “It pains me every time senior artists decide to retire. I feel I may have to take that path someday, but I believe there is no exit for an artist. As long as there is even one person clapping for me, it is my destiny to keep singing.”
He emphasized once again his unwavering love for music by declaring he will not hold a retirement concert as a promise to himself. At 6 p.m. that day, Lee Moon-sae released new songs such as ‘Love Even in Farewell’ and ‘My Blues’ through various music sites, continuing his musical communication with fans.
Foreseeing that Lee Moon-sae’s musical journey will continue, there is anticipation for what works his passion will lead to in the future.
