Actress Jung SooYoung is set to transform into the role of Lady Hong in JTBC’s new weekend drama ‘The Tale of Lady Ok’. On the 12th, her agency Cosmo Entertainment announced that she will showcase her versatile charm, which she has demonstrated in various works, in this drama as well.
‘The Tale of Lady Ok’ portrays the intense survival drama of Ok TaeYoung (played by Lim JiYeon), an outsider whose name, status, and even husband were all fake, and Cheon SeungHui (played by Choo YoungWoo), who risks his life to protect her. Jung SooYoung will take on the role of Lady Hong, a quick-witted and opportunistic character, and is expected to display her unique charm through interactions with various characters.
Jung SooYoung, who debuted in 2000 with the play “Shakespeare’s Women,” has built a solid acting career through various works including ‘Couple or Trouble’, ‘War of Money’, ‘Queen of Housewives’, ‘City Hall’, ‘Secret’, ‘Uncle’, as well as films like ‘Harmony’ and ‘A Dramatic Night’. Particularly, she left a strong impression as the scene-stealer in the recently concluded ‘No Blood No Tears’, playing the role of Yoon YiRa.
Her limitless ability to embody different characters is raising expectations for this drama as well. Viewers are eager to see what new charm Jung SooYoung will bring to this project.
