BTS’s Jimin has once again proven his unparalleled presence in K-pop by winning the Best K-Pop award at the MTV Europe Music Awards. Last year, the same award was won by BTS member JungKook, continuing the group’s legacy this year. The ‘MTV EMA’ introduced the ‘Best K-Pop’ category in 2021, where BTS as a team previously won.
Jimin’s second solo album ‘MUSE’ and its title track ‘Who’ have been consistently dominating global charts since their release. The song has been on the US Billboard ‘Billboard 200’ and ‘Hot 100’ for 15 consecutive weeks and is in its 16th week on the UK Official Chart. Additionally, it has secured the 4th spot on Spotify’s ‘Weekly Top Songs Global,’ showcasing its steady popularity.
‘Who’ has brought Jimin his greatest achievement as a solo artist, entering the UK Official Singles Chart at 4th and setting a new record. In its first week of release, it topped various sub-charts, proving his musical influence.
The members of BTS are currently showcasing their musical prowess through various solo activities. Jimin is set to present his solo work through exhibitions in Los Angeles on November 29 and in Tokyo, Japan, on January 10 next year. Jin will release his solo album ‘Happy’ on the 15th, displaying his musical growth with songs from various genres. Additionally, the documentary film for RM’s second solo album ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’ is soon to be released worldwide. V plans to release a duet song ‘White Christmas (with V of BTS)’ with Bing Crosby on December 6.
