BTS JiMin has secured the top spot for six consecutive years in ‘The King Of Kpop 2024’ poll by ‘King Choice’, receiving enthusiastic support from global K-pop fans. In this year’s poll, JiMin garnered 596,552 votes, reaffirming his strong position as a leading K-pop artist.
Since 2019, JiMin has maintained consistent popularity, continuing to assert his unique presence in the K-pop idol scene. He was also named ‘King of K-pop’ for two consecutive years at the Shining Awards and won the ‘Kpop Idol of the Year 2023’ by Dabeme, further amplifying his growing influence. In May of this year, he topped the ‘Most Popular K-pop Idol of 2024’ category at the Shining Awards, receiving great love from global fans.
JiMin has been listed as the ‘King Of Kpop’ in the Urban Dictionary since 2019 and was the only BTS member selected in The Guardian’s ’30 Best Boy Band Members’ in 2016. Additionally, Australia’s music magazine Culture referred to him as the ‘BTS FRONTMAN’, introducing him as a symbolic member of BTS.
Notably, with the title track ‘Like Crazy’ from his first solo album ‘FACE’, released last March, he made history by topping the Billboard ‘Hot 100’ chart as a Korean solo artist.
