Singer Lee ChanWon has donated the 1 million won prize money he received from the October Singing Battle to cover emergency medical expenses for children suffering from pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare intractable diseases. Through his donations via Good Star, Lee ChanWon’s accumulated contributions have surpassed 58.87 million won.
The Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation’s emergency treatment support program is designed to alleviate the financial burden on families of child patients facing challenges due to sudden hospitalization costs, medication expenses, and ancillary treatment costs. This program helps ensure children receive stable and continuous treatment.
Hong SeungYun, director of the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, expressed gratitude to Lee ChanWon, saying, “We thank Lee ChanWon for his warm heart in reaching out to children in need despite the chilly weather,” and conveyed support for his future activities.
Meanwhile, Lee ChanWon is set to meet fans with a solo concert “Changa” beginning with performances in Cheongju on November 2nd and 3rd, followed by shows in Gwangju on November 23rd and 24th. An encore concert is also planned from December 13th to 15th at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena (KSPO-DOME).
