Actor Nam YoonSu has taken on a new acting challenge by portraying various forms of love in the TVING drama ‘Love In The Big City’. In an interview with The Fact in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, he expressed his gratitude for the enthusiastic response, saying, “I never expected so many people to relate.”
‘Love In The Big City’ is an eight-episode drama that was released on TVING on the 21st, depicting the romance of youth as the writer Go Young (played by Nam YoonSu) learns about love through various encounters. Nam YoonSu plays the role of Go Young, a homosexual character, focusing on depicting diverse forms and meanings of love. The series particularly centers around a homosexual storyline, offering a new perspective to some viewers.
To understand the lives of actual sexual minorities, Nam YoonSu immersed himself in the role by visiting places infused with their culture. After the drama was released, he received messages of empathy and gratitude from many sexual minorities, expressing his emotion by saying, “This is the first time I’ve received such support.”
Nam YoonSu’s acting journey has grown significantly with this project. Through collaborations with various directors, he sincerely portrayed Go Young’s love story from his 20s to 30s.
