Recently, the group SEVENTEEN has once again achieved remarkable success in the Japanese music market. According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan in October, SEVENTEEN’s 12th mini-album ‘SPILL THE FEELS’ has surpassed 250,000 cumulative shipments, earning a ‘Platinum’ certification. The Recording Industry Association of Japan grants certifications such as Gold, Platinum, and Double Platinum based on cumulative album shipments.
To date, SEVENTEEN has received Gold Disc certifications for 17 albums from the Recording Industry Association of Japan, adding three certifications just this year. Notably, their best album ’17 IS RIGHT HERE’ received a Double Platinum certification, while Jeonghan and Wonwoo’s special unit single ‘THIS MAN’ received a Gold certification.
Upon its release, ‘SPILL THE FEELS’ claimed the top spot on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking and achieved its 13th overall number one on the Weekly Album Ranking and Weekly Combined Album Ranking, setting the record for the most number-one positions for an overseas artist. Additionally, it also reached number one on Billboard Japan’s ‘Hot Albums’ chart.
Building on this success, SEVENTEEN plans to continue engaging with local fans through their Japan Dome Tour. The tour is set to begin in Nagoya on November 29 and continue in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka. There is growing anticipation for SEVENTEEN’s future activities and the new records they will set, capturing the attention of many.
