21 K-Dramas With The Best Ratings Of 2024

2025 is not far off, and it’s time to conclude the year with a review of the popular dramas broadcast on Korean TV.

Of course, ratings don’t tell the whole story, as some dramas are popular on OTT platforms, are OTT originals, or simply don’t achieve ratings that match their hype. The biggest example this year is the popular drama “Lovely Runner“. Did you know its highest rating was 5.8%? That’s not small, but it’s not as high as the dramas we’ve ranked on this list.

“Queen of Tears” is the drama with the highest ratings this year, but that’s not all. It also holds the record for the highest-ever tvN ratings, surpassing the 21.7% record set by “Crash Landing on You” in 2020. The drama started at 5.9%, quickly rose to 13.0% by its 4th episode, reached 20.7% in its 12th episode, and ended with an impressive 24.9%. Kim SooHyun and Kim JiWon made the entire country laugh and cry, but also viewers overseas even if their views aren’t reflected in these ratings.
