NCT DREAM is making a comeback with a more mature story of youth. On November 11th at 6 PM, they are set to meet fans with their 4th full-length album ‘DREAMSCAPE.’ This album consists of a total of 11 tracks, including the title track ‘When I’m With You,’ and promises high completeness with solid storytelling and diverse music.
The album contains stories of youths searching for utopia amidst the pain of reality. While the previously released ‘DREAM( )SCAPE’ in March sang about the anxieties and pains of reality, ‘DREAMSCAPE’ deals with the freedom and excitement in the utopia they escape to, as well as the fear and confusion felt there. However, throughout these 11 songs, it organically weaves the realization of the meaning of happiness and love by the youths.
The title track ‘When I’m With You’ is an electronic pop song based on house music, characterized by an addictive chorus. The lyrics, co-written by Mark, romantically express the feeling of being drawn to someone met in ‘DREAMSCAPE.’ The choreography, created by world-renowned choreographer Keone Madrid, highlights the harmony of steps and grooves, showcasing the chemistry among the members in the performance.
The visual concept of the album is also noteworthy. The ‘Constructive’ concept depicts the challenges and growth needed to advance to a new dimension, while the ‘Real City’ concept portrays facing the real world with a more matured inner self. Additionally, the music video for the track ‘Flying Kiss,’ pre-released on YouTube SMTOWN channel today, provides a glimpse into the mysterious space of the utopia ‘DREAMSCAPE.’
