GOT7 member and actor JinYoung has finally completed his military service. On the 7th, his agency BH Entertainment announced that JinYoung was honorably discharged from the 11th Division of the Army. Fellow members Yugyeom and GOT7 Bambam joined him to celebrate, and JinYoung expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the fans who came to the event.
Regarding the reduced social media activity during his service, JinYoung stated, “I wanted to repay my fans with a changed appearance,” and now that he has been discharged, he plans to reciprocate fans’ love through various activities. Enlisted as an active-duty soldier in May 2023, he also conveyed his deep gratitude to his fellow soldiers, saying, “I spent a joyful time with great friends during the year and a half, and I am really thankful and love them.”
JinYoung also expressed his appreciation to fans for waiting for him, noting, “I feel stronger than before enlisting,” and conveyed his love for his fans. He also mentioned news of a new GOT7 album, emphasizing, “Before the members enlist, I want to quickly prepare an album and gift it to the fans.”
JinYoung is set to share more stories with fans through a live broadcast at 7 PM on the same day. His return project is the Channel A drama ‘The Witch,’ a mystery romance drama based on a work by popular webtoon artist Kang Full. JinYoung completed filming his role as Dongjin, a top-rated data miner in the industry, before his enlistment.
Meanwhile, GOT7 members, except for foreign members GOT7 Mark Tuan, Jackson, and GOT7 Bambam, have completed their military service, with GOT7 JinYoung and GOT7 Jay B having fulfilled theirs. With GOT7 YoungJae and Yugyeom preparing to enlist, fans are eagerly anticipating the group’s new album release and JinYoung’s return to activities, which are drawing significant attention for their future endeavors.
