TXT, also known as Tomorrow X Together, has once again proven their massive popularity in Japan with their seventh mini-album, ‘The Name Chapter: SANCTUARY.’ According to BigHit Music on the 7th, the album secured the top position on Japan’s Oricon Daily Album Ranking for two consecutive days, selling an impressive 277,587 copies on the 4th and 5th of November. This achievement surpasses the first-week sales of their previous release, ‘Minisode 3: Tomorrow,’ which sold around 174,000 copies.
With this milestone, TXT now holds the record for the most consecutive No. 1 albums by an overseas artist on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart, with a total of 11 albums reaching the summit. Their newest title track, ‘Over the Moon,’ has also been performing exceptionally well on Japanese music charts, initially entering LINE MUSIC’s real-time song chart at 78th place just an hour after its release on November 4th, and soaring to the top position by 8 PM on the 6th.
On Spotify Japan’s ‘Daily Top Songs’ for November 5th, the track climbed an impressive 79 spots to secure the 74th position. In addition, ‘The Name Chapter: SANCTUARY’ topped the ‘Top Albums’ charts on both Apple Music Japan and iTunes, showcasing the album’s broad appeal.
In Korea, the album also achieved remarkable success, hitting No. 1 on Hanteo Chart’s daily album ranking on its release day and marking their fifth consecutive album to achieve ‘first-week million-seller’ status. ‘Over the Moon’ reached the top 3 on Bugs’ real-time chart, demonstrating its wide-reaching popularity.
‘The Name Chapter: SANCTUARY’ is the first installment of TXT’s fourth series, following ‘The Dream Chapter,’ ‘The Chaos Chapter,’ and ‘The Name Chapter.’ The group continues to captivate fans with new and intriguing themes.
