NewJeans took first place on KBS2’s ‘Music Bank’ and expressed their gratitude to fans and ADOR staff.
On the ‘Music Bank’ broadcast on the 31st, NewJeans competed against aespa’s ‘Supernova’ with their song ‘How Sweet’ and ultimately won first place for the last week of May. After receiving the trophy, MinJi said, “Our NewJeans made a comeback after about 10 months. I really want to thank the ‘Bernies’ who have always waited for us,” expressing her gratitude to the fans.
MinJi continued, “I also want to thank our CEO, the ADOR family, the hair and makeup staff, and the management team who helped us make this comeback so amazing.” Danielle also expressed her affection for CEO Min HeeJin, saying, “Once again, I want to thank our beloved and precious CEO. I love you, CEO.” She added, “I’m so happy to be able to share this amazing stage with the Bernies. Thank you, Bernies.”
NewJeans released their double single ‘How Sweet’ on the 24th and have been actively promoting it.
Meanwhile, on the same day, ADOR’s CEO Min HeeJin, to which NewJeans belongs, stated at a second press conference related to the interim shareholders’ meeting, “I want to keep the one-year plan with NewJeans as it is. It’s not a loss to anyone. We’ve already inflicted a lot of emotional pain on each other. I want to end that part magnanimously and move on to another chapter,” and added, “Thinking about the future of NewJeans, HYBE, and everyone’s future, it’s painful for NewJeans members to endure false hopes. From that perspective, I’ll step back, so let’s stop this.”
