BTS JiMin is making waves in the global music market with his solo 2nd album ‘MUSE,’ garnering significant attention.
The track ‘Be Mine’ from JiMin’s solo 2nd album ‘MUSE,’ released on the 19th of last month, recorded 2,587,829 streams on the world’s largest streaming platform, Spotify, as of August 2nd, ranking 37th on the ‘Global Daily Top Songs’ chart. This surpasses the debut record of ‘Be Mine,’ which ranked 46th with 2.45 million streams immediately after its release. Notably, JiMin’s title track ‘Who’ held the top spot for 11 days, the longest record for a solo song by an Asian solo artist, adding to the glory.
On the US Spotify ‘Daily Top Songs’ chart, ‘Be Mine’ debuted at 173rd place with 386,767 streams, joining ‘Who,’ which ranked 5th on the chart. With this, JiMin has become the first and only Korean artist to have a total of four songs, including ‘Like Crazy’ and ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band,’ on the US Spotify ‘Daily Top Songs’ chart this year.
‘Be Mine’ also topped the ‘Worldwide iTunes Song’ and ‘European iTunes Song’ charts in its English version, ranking first in a total of 60 countries and regions. In particular, ‘Be Mine’ reached number one in the UK, setting a record for the most number one songs by a Korean artist.
Debuting at number one on Japan’s Oricon Chart ‘Daily Digital Single Chart,’ ‘Be Mine’ also ranked 54th on Japan’s Spotify ‘Daily Top Songs’ and second in South Korea, following ‘Who,’ receiving love from music fans worldwide despite being a track on the album.
Meanwhile, ‘Be Mine,’ an Afrobeat genre song, allows listeners to fully experience JiMin’s captivating and sensual charm, transforming the album’s atmosphere and garnering great response from fans.
