Loossemble, the five-member girl group made of LOONA members, recently made a stop at Boston’s historic Orpheum Theatre during its month-long “Up_Link Station” US tour.  Much to the crowd’s delight, the show covered the full gambit of the group’s discography from its debut song ‘Sensitive’ to their most recent comeback ‘TTYL’.

Loossemble, consisting of leader HyunJin; vocalist/rappers/dancers Vivi, Go Won and HyeJu; and maknae YeoJin, blends together dance pop with classic R&B styling to form its unique sound.  The group redebuted last September but have been relentless with releasing new music as they have already released three separate EPs.

Unfortunately, the group performed as a foursome as YeoJin could not attend the tour because of illness.  Despite this, Bostonians still cheered the group on after every song and showed their spirit with a mix of Loossemble and LOONA lightsticks.

The setlist included songs never performed live before this tour, including ‘Hocus Pocus’, ‘Boomerang’, ‘Truman Show’, and ‘Starlight’.

“Boomerang is one of my favorite songs,” said Vivi.  Her groupmate HyeJu concurred, “[‘Boomerang’] is the most fun! I can see C.Loo (the group’s fandom name) also having fun!”

Midway through the show, the members read off hand-written notes from C.Loo that were posted on a whiteboard in the concert hall’s lobby before the show. While most of the comments expressed fan’s feelings to the group’s music, voices and beauty, the members were most proud of the statement, “Orbit is forever, C.Loo is forever.”

While the group performed its comebacks such as ‘Girls’ Night’, ‘TTYL’ and ‘Sensitive’, the crowd reacted the most to a remix of ‘Cotton Candy’ and ‘Confessions’ as well as ‘Strawberry soda’. “This song is so fun,” said HyeJu after ‘Strawberry soda’. She followed up with, “It’s because Yves gifted it to us.”
