Thousands of K-Pop fans and Korean culture enthusiasts flocked to the Los Angeles Convention Center bright and early for KCON LA 2024. KCON was a spectacular showcase of Korean music, culture, and entertainment, offering an unforgettable experience for attendees.
The convention was bustling with various booths highlighting different aspects of Korean culture. Some booths offered raffles and even the chance to win a free trip to South Korea, courtesy of Asiana Airlines. Fans eagerly participated in these activities, adding an extra layer of excitement to everything going on.
One of the most heartwarming sights was the artist wall, where fans could write notes to their favorite K-Pop idols. The K-Pop Shining Moments wall also drew many visitors, displaying official light sticks and other memorabilia from various artists, sparking nostalgia and admiration among fans.

A highlight of the event was the dream stages, a fan dancing competition. The winners had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform on the M Countdown stage with the artists for whose dream stages they competed. The artists the winners got to perform with that weekend were SHINee’s TaeMin, ENHYPEN, and ZICO. The winners received thunderous cheers as they were announced. The Connecting Stage offered fans a more intimate experience, allowing them to get up close and personal with their favorite artists, listen to them answer questions, and participate in interactive games.
The convention floor was a flurry of activity, with many performers stopping by to test out Samsung’s newest products at their booth and convention goers checking out the different booths. The Meet and Greet stage was also bustling with artists engaging in fan interaction activities, taking selfies with the audience, and even performing throughout the weekend.
The performances at KCON LA 2024 were nothing short of spectacular. DXMON, a new group that debuted in January 2024, delighted the audience (myself included) with their catchy single ‘Girls, Love boys, Love girls’. P1Harmony drew a massive crowd with their engaging performance on the KCON Stage. I remember watching their online fan meeting 3 years ago, not too long after they debuted, so now having the opportunity to see them in person was an incredible experience. They were really good performers and had an ability to draw in their audience back then and theyโve only perfected that ability. Their performances on the KCON Stage and at the M Countdown were some of my favorites.

Also at the KCON stage, ZEROBASEONE wowed the crowd with their dynamic performances and fan interactions. AleXa delivered an electrifying performance, marking a full circle from her days as a KCON attendee in high school to now performing as an artist. NMIXX‘s high-energy set included wonderful choreography, selfies with the new Samsung Galaxy, and bubble-filled performances. They performed one of my favorite songs, ‘Young, Dumb, Stupid’. They were definitely a hit with the fans.

Hyolyn showcased her incredible vocal range and crowd interaction during her performance. She performed her new single ‘Wait’, which is now my favorite song of the summer. Other notable performances included rock indie artist Lรธren, Tiger JK, and K-Pop artists BOYNEXTDOOR, BIBI, Jo YuRi, INI, STAYC, A.C.E, g.o.d, and TWS.

KCON LA 2024 also featured some of South Korea’s most popular actors. RoWoon, Park MinYoung, and Kim SooHyun were present, much to the delight of drama fans. RoWoon hosted the M Countdown at Crypto Arena on night one, sharing his experiences of being at KCON with SF9 and now as a host. Seeing him in person, especially after watching him in dramas like “Extraordinary You”, “The Kingโs Affection”, and “She Would Never Know”, was a dream come true for many, including me.
Special fan meetings hosted by Park MinYoung and Kim SooHyun drew impressive crowds, eager to see their favorite drama stars. The M Countdown stage on night one saw electric performances from P1Harmony, DXMON, AleXa, BIBI, BOYNEXTDOOR, INI, SHINee’s TaeMin, and Kep1er. Night two featured ENHYPEN, g.o.d, Jo YuRi, ME:I, NMIXX, and TWS, with dream stage winners performing alongside ENHYPEN. Night three concluded the event with spectacular shows from Jeon SoMi, NCT 127, STAYC, ZEROBASEONE, and ZICO, maintaining the incredible energy throughout the weekend.
KCON LA 2024 was a resounding success, offering fans an immersive and unforgettable experience filled with music and culture. I had an absolute blast.
