It’s been over a month since Triple iz made their debut with ‘Halla’. However, the group continues to reach new heights of success even today.
For those who might not know, Triple iz is a metaverse K-Pop girl group planned by SK Telecom, and connects Indonesian idol Dita from SECRET NUMBER, Indian idol Aria from X:IN, and Korean idol E.Ji from ICHILLIN’, thus bringing together fans from all over the world. The name “Triple iz” stands for Initiate, Individual, and International, with the message of “share your heart beyond borders, express your individuality, and reach for your dreams”. As such, Triple iz’s artistic direction is aimed at uniting global K-Pop fans over the shared love of music.
Triple iz debuted on April 8, 2024 with the song ‘Halla’, much to the joy of fans all over the world. The music video for ‘Halla’ currently stands at 2.2 million views on YouTube.
In the meantime, Triple iz’s Spotify is buzzing with popularity too. During the month of May, Triple iz hit a new monthly peak of 22,103 listeners on Spotify. At the time of writing, the song ‘Halla’ has been played 304,000 times on Spotify.
Triple iz reaching this new peak over a month after their debut speaks volumes of their popularity and definitely opens up the possibility of a comeback. In particular, SK has announced that Triple iz may release another song if there is high enough fan participation in “Weekly Izland News”, a weekly online fan meet-up on ifland, hosted in collaboration with Triple iz’s media partner Kpopmap.
While the exact threshold is not know, we hope many fans will participate in “Weekly Izland News” to increase the chances of Triple iz making a comeback. After all, it’s all in fans’ hands!
