NCT WISH is the newest subunit of NCT, and is already establishing their distinct artistic color. The members are supremely talented, raising expectations for their future, convincing fans that the future of K-Pop is in more than safe hands. In this respect, the members’ vocals have come into the spotlight, recruiting thousands of new fans with every passing day.
In particular, the fact that each NCT WISH member’s vocal is so unique is a major reason why their music stands out. So, in classic Kpopmap fashion, we created moodboards for the NCT WISH members’ vocal colors, picturizing them. Without further ado, let’s find out what the NCT WISH members’ vocal colors would look like as moodboards!
1. Sion

Sion’s voice is gentle, ever so slightly husky, and comforting. It’s like a warm embrace from a loved one or the feeling of your favorite blanket at the end of a long day. We think Sion’s vocal color is golden brown beige – the color of cashmere sweaters and lattes, your favorite old book, or a fresh batch of cookies. It is reminiscent of the bark of a tree that offers shade to whoever needs it, which is even more fitting given Sion’s position as the leader of NCT WISH.
2. Riku

Riku has an exceptionally unique voice, not only among the NCT WISH members but also among K-Pop idols in general. There is a certain iridescence in his voice, which comes through with his dynamic vocals. It has a sparkling clarity but is also chic and edgy. This is the kind of voice that becomes generation-defining. We think Riku’s vocal color is holographic, weaving through tones of multiple colors at once, just like his versatility.
3. Sakuya

Sakuya has one of the most playful, mischievous, and adorable personalities in NCT WISH. However, his deep voice oozes charisma. While the idol looks the cutest in pink, his vocal color reminds us of deep purple. It is rich, addictive, and can quickly become anyone’s favorite. Such is the charm of Sakuya too, because his voice captivates the listener at once.
4. Yushi

Yushi’s vocal tone is crystal clear, bright, and fresh. It is effervescent like bubbles and has a mood-boosting effect. Whenever you’re having a rough day, just listen to Yushi’s voice, and you’ll instantly feel better. We think Yushi’s vocal color is pastel blue – uplifting, ethereal, and simply endearing.
5. JaeHee

JaeHee is already receiving much love and appreciation from fans and critics all over the world for his strong vocals. Why wouldn’t he when his voice is so extraordinary and his technique flawless? We think JaeHee’s vocal color is a soft yet passionate rosy red, representing his delicate yet powerful vocals that always leave a deep impression.
6. Ryo

Ryo’s voice is like sunlight. You start to crave it if you haven’t heard it in a while. One of Ryo’s biggest strengths is how well he knows his own voice, hence mastering vocal control. His voice is refreshing, energizing, and commands attention. We think NCT WISH member Ryo’s vocal color is a beautiful yellow and we just can’t get enough of vitamin Ryo.
