On February 23, 2024, news broke deep into the night in Korea. Famous actor Jeong Seung-gil has been confirmed to join the cast of Tving’s original drama ‘Pyramid Game’. With this, he once again draws the public’s attention, adding another shining page to his acting career.
‘Pyramid Game’ is set in Class 5 of the second year at Baekyeon Girls’ High School, where a ‘bully’ is selected through secret voting. Here, students are divided into perpetrators, victims, and bystanders, gradually getting swept into a whirlpool of violence. The story, based on a popular webtoon, will depict the psychological warfare of Seong Su-ji (played by Kim Ji-yeon) and her companions as they struggle to break the school’s hierarchical pyramid.
In this work, Jeong Seung-gil plays the role of Seo Jung-yeon, the father of Seo Do-a (played by Shin Seul-gi) and the director of a hospital. Seo Jung-yeon is a figure who has gone through an elite course and does not spare careful advice on everything from relationships to ensuring his daughter leads a successful life. Jeong Seung-gil has previously shown excellent acting skills in various works, and is ready to receive public love once again through this role.
