SEVENTEEN, the powerhouse K-Pop group, achieved phenomenal success with their “FOLLOW THE CITY” tour across five major cities in Japan. Collaborating with over 30 partners, the band orchestrated an immersive experience featuring more than 70 diverse programs that left a lasting impact on the Japanese audience.
The tour, an innovative blend of fan experiences transforming cities into ‘concert play parks,’ expanded this year to include Saitama and Fukuoka, alongside Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya. Aligned with the band’s ongoing “FOLLOW” tour theme, the Japan leg commenced at Tokyo Dome on September 6 and concluded with a grand finale at Fukuoka PayPay Dome on December 17, drawing an impressive crowd of 515,000 across 12 shows.
The evolution of “THE CITY” project showcased SEVENTEEN’s commitment to engaging their fans beyond the stage. Unveiling experiences transcending traditional F&B collaborations, the tour featured buses adorned with SEVENTEEN graphics in Fukuoka and a specially-wrapped airplane in partnership with Japanese Airline Star Flyer across domestic routes.
The tour’s highlights included a mesmerizing water show at Canal City Hakata in Fukuoka, synchronized with the band’s Japanese single ‘Ima – Even if the world ends tomorrow-‘. Notable landmarks in Nagoya and Osaka, such as Mirai Tower and Osaka Wheel, were illuminated and wrapped in SEVENTEEN’s official color– Rose Quartz & Serenity.
The impact was profound, with foot traffic around “THE CITY” landmarks tallying up to a staggering 320 million. Around 78,000 people enthusiastically participated in a digital stamp rally connecting landmarks, accumulating a total of 580,000 stamps across cities. Additionally, over 31,000 visitors engaged with photo exhibitions showcasing behind-the-scenes moments of SEVENTEEN’s concerts and fan meetings.
Unique attractions, like Nagoya’s Sunshine Sakae ferris wheel covered in SEVENTEEN graphics, drew over 15,000 fans. The accompanying beverage cart, offering SEVENTEEN stickers, saw over 10,000 drinks sold during the tour.
Following their triumphant journey in Japan, SEVENTEEN now sets its sights on Bangkok, Thailand. “THE CITY” project will extend its magic to Bangkok’s Siam Area, coinciding with the band’s shows scheduled for December 23-24. This marks the project’s debut in Bangkok, promising an elevated concert experience on a global scale.
The band has collaborated with Thailand’s retail giant, Siam Piwat Group, to create a fan-hub named “SEVENTEEN POP-UP” at Siam Discovery. This innovative space, showered in SEVENTEEN’s signature color, houses original photo booths, exhibitions, and exclusive merchandise, marking the band’s first extensive collaboration in Bangkok.

Other collaborations include Duck Donuts’ SEVENTEEN-themed menu, a mini cafe at Icon Siam, and SEVENTEEN-inspired room packages at Centre Point Hotel Chidlom. Centre Point Hotel Chidlom offers a special photo spot at its lobby and “THE CITY” welcome kits as part of their SEVENTEEN package from December 20 to January 5.
Post-Bangkok, SEVENTEEN’s “FOLLOW” tour continues with upcoming performances in Bulacan (January 13-14) and Macao (January 20-21).
