JiHyo’s first solo showcases her authentic self, as demonstrated in the EP’s leading track ‘Killin’ Me Good’. The energetic pop anthem captures JiHyo’s raw emotions and showcases her distinctive rhythmic vocals. Collaborating with accomplished hitmakers including J.Y. “ZONE” offers a diverse selection of tracks, including the captivating dance-pop number ‘Talkin’ About It (Feat. 24kGoldn)’, a groundbreaking collaboration that marks the first time a Western artist has featured on a TWICE-related track. ‘Closer’ delves into the concept of closeness with someone newly met, incorporating a sultry Latin-inspired chorus. The EP also features the sparkling and passionate R&B track ‘Wishing On You’, the heart-wrenching acoustic duet ‘Donโt Wanna Go Back’ with Heize, the emotional ballad ‘Room’, and the fierce empowerment anthem ‘Nightmare’.
JiHyo’s artistic growth and musicality shine through in “ZONE,” a project that reflects her development over the past eight years with TWICE. Impressively, she contributed to the writing of five tracks on the EP, including ‘Closer’, ‘Wishing On You’, ‘Donโt Wanna Go Back’, ‘Room’, and ‘Nightmare’. This solo release follows a momentous year for JiHyo and TWICE, who received the prestigious Breakthrough Award at the “Billboard Women in Music Awards.” The group’s 12th mini album, “READY TO BE,” also garnered critical acclaim and secured the #2 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
Adding to their achievements, TWICE embarked on their 5th World Tour “READY TO BE,” delivering breathtaking performances across North America, including sold-out shows at iconic venues such as Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium and MetLife Stadium.
