ChoCo Entertainment Reveals K-Pop Group ChoCo’s Unique Artist Incubation System That Prioritizes A Creative Foundation

ChoCo, a groundbreaking global K-Pop group produced by JungHun Cho (also known as ChoPD), aims to be a ‘K-POP 5.0 Icon’ that sings about the dreams, lives, concerns, and identities of the alpha generation. The ChoCo artists are expected to engage in various activities without the conceptual confines of solo and group promotions.

ChoCo has garnered attention for its distinctive incubation system, which focuses on character, social skills, and creativity. This sets ChoCo apart from the typical idol training systems that emphasize skill development.

In particular, despite producing numerous videos, music videos, and reality episodes over a five-year-long training period, the word ‘debut’ is strictly prohibited among ChoCo Entertainment staff, trainees, and their families, leading to increased curiosity about the ChoCo incubation system.

ChoCo artists are forming various units based on songs and concepts, with the boy group ChoCo1 and the girl group ChoCo2 as the main pillars, and they are shooting music videos, performance videos, and other content while working on their synchronicity.

Regarding this, ChoPD explained, “ChoCo artists are forming units with various combinations depending on the song, focusing on their synchronicity. Throughout this process, they receive training equivalent to a debut through filming various contents such as music videos, performance videos, and reality shows.” They further stated, “However, the official debut date for ChoCo is determined as ‘when the team is complete with the best combination’.”

In their most recent reality show broadcast, the ChoCo members emphasized the importance of spending time with their families. Some members and their parents traveled overseas and temporarily lived together in the accommodation. Under Choco’s motto, which prioritizes nurturing proper character and sociability, the young Choco members, who are still at a young age, are balancing their school and family life while focusing on developing the right values.

To this effect, ChoCo Entertainment mentioned, “The artists are still young trainees, and we prioritize their school and family life to foster character and social skills. Moreover, feeling prematurely accomplished with their dreams can be detrimental to young trainees. It is essential for them to establish a creative foundation as artists to enable continuous personal growth even after their debut.”

The ChoCo members are currently growing as artists with their talents and skills, and they plan to have sufficient time to synchronize the group’s tone and the members’ interactions.

Meanwhile, Episode 1 of the reality show “ChoCo in Hollywood” was aired on May 12 through CJ ENM’s broadcast music channel Mnet and its digital subsidiary channel M2 (on YouTube), attracting even more attention from domestic and international viewers.
