Stray Kids’ “ODDINARY” Album Debuts At #1 On Billboard 200 Chart

Stray Kids sets a record as their recently released album “ODDINARY” debuts on the Billboard 200 Chart at #1. The said album was released last March 18.

The group makes history by getting the highest album sales in one week by a single artist this year. It is also said to be the most album sales in one week made by a 4th generation K-Pop group. News also have it that Stray Kids is the first original K-Pop act who made it their debut at #1 on the the Billboard 200 Chart. This record has definitely turned the said boy group from underdogs of the industry to a global artist recognized worldwide.

“ODDINARY” also was able to debut at #1 on other charts like the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart and, for the first time, the World Albums Chart. Additionally, Stray Kids is the first group under JYP Entertainment that was able to reach #1 on the Billboard 200 Chart. It is noteworthy that upon the release of each song from the said album, it made an impact on the Top 200 Global Spotify Chart, and the album also topped the iTunes Albums Charts in 56 regions.

The album also invoked positive responses from critics. Teen Vogue declared the album as “the group’s highest-selling album to date”.

Fans will be excited to know that Stray Kids have set dates for their 2nd World Tour MANIAC“. This will be the first time the group will be able to meet their fans worldwide personally, since the pandemic started.
