Uh-oh.. It looks like BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon and TaeYang will not be able to keep and use their name if they do not renew their contract with YG Entertainment.

According to the news published by Korean media, Heraldcorp, it was mentioned on Dec. 12 that YG Entertainment had registered the stage name of G-Dragon and TaeYang back in 2003 and 2015 respectively.

Since the names are registered, both would have to give up on using and promoting with the names if they were to leave YG Entertainment once their contracts expire.

For those who did not know, G-Dragon’s birth name is Kwon JiYong and TaeYang’s birth name is Dong YoungBae.
