Exclusive Review: Stray Kids UNVEIL Tour ‘I am…’ In Los Angeles

On May 17, Kpopmap’s photographer from Los Angeles headed over to Stray Kids UNVEIL Tour ‘I am…’ in Los Angeles.

Stray Kids are 9 talented boys under JYP Entertainment and they were formed through the survival program with the same name, “Stray Kids”.

They consist of Bang Chan, WooJin, Lee Know, ChangBin, HyunJin, Han, Felix, SeungMin and I.N, debuting back in Mar. 25, 2018. With only slightly more than a year of debut, they amazed many through the spectacular performance put up earlier last Friday.

Prior to Friday evening, I (Kpopmap photographer) had never heard any music from Stray Kids. I came to the concert, unsure of what to expect and ended up leaving a total fan!

From the time I arrived to the time I left, I was captivated by Stray Kids’ entire performance. They brought a lot of energy, their dance moves were precise, I loved their voices, and I really enjoyed the way they interacted with the crowd. As cliche as it might sound, there was just this particular synergy Stray Kids had with their fans that made this concert so enjoyable and memorable compared to any other concerts which I had been.

My favorite part of the night was when they performed ‘Mirror’. The way they incorporated a mirror frame with their choreography was super unique and I had never seen anything like that done in a K-Pop concert before. Thumbs up to the choreographers and stage directors for making that particular performance a jaw-dropping one!

Other favorite songs and performances of the night for me were ‘District 9’ and ‘Who?. Since ‘District 9′ was Stray Kids’ debut track, the cheers and screaming from the fans around me for the boys were deafening!

The fans were also amazing and are part of the reasons I enjoyed the show so much. Their excitement made me so excited and I could barely pin point any aspect of the show that was even worth criticizing. Looking at how the other fans were holding the official light sticks and waving it above their heads, I believe it was very magical moment both the fans and the boys.

From start to finish, this was an excellent show to attend and it was so worth it to go. I can definitely see why this was a sold out show and can’t wait to go to another Stray Kids concert in the future!
