4 Japanese Trainees Reported To Have Left “Produce 48”

4 Japanese trainees were reported to have left Mnet “Produce 48”, leaving only 92 trainees to compete in the upcoming survival show.

According to an insider, it was revealed that on May 24th, during the first round of competition, instead of 96, only 92 trainees had participated in the filming of the show.

Based on the original system, there is supposed to be 48 trainees from South Korea and 48 trainees from Japan. However during the first round of competition, it was unfortunate to see 4 members from Japan to leave the show. They are HKT48‘s Tanaka MikuTsukiashi Amane, NMB48‘s Umeyama Cocona and Uemura Azusa.

On “Produce 48” official website, fans are still able to see their profiles and they started to leave comments saying, it was a waste to see them leave the show. In the case of Tsukiashi Amane, Umeyama Cocona and Uemura Azusa, they did not take photos while wearing “Produce 48” uniform.

The reasons behind them leaving the show was not revealed.

“Produce 48” began their first recording on April 11th and on May 10th, they greeted audiences for the first time with their theme song “Naeggeoya (PICK ME)” on “Mcountdown”. The centers were revealed to be HKT48’s Miyawaki Sakura and After School‘s GaEun.
