The annual GAON Chart Music Awards is back and this time, it will be held on January 23rd 2019 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium. If you have been a K-Pop fan for quite sometime, you might notice how there are several music charts in Korea. One of the most reliable music charts is none other than GAON chart.
Compared to previous years, it was announced on December 3rd that the ‘Popularity Award’ will no longer be given out due to various reasons. One of them being the fact that there has been a rise in amount of music awards which ask fans to vote for their favorite artists. This had caused many side effects for fans such as exhaustion and also the rise of illegal voting systems.
With the new change in system, fans are expecting to see what GAON Chart Music Awards will be bringing on stage.
