K-Dramas are filled with a multitude of different scenarios for every type of viewer. With the amount of dramas released each year, there's a story and genre for everyone to enjoy. When deciding what drama to watch, besides a captivating plot and breathtaking cinematography, the first thing people look at is cast.
Casting is extremely important when it comes to the overall impact of a drama. And sometimes, we cannot help but imagine certain idols being perfect for a particular role. Some idols would do amazing in a K-Drama with a pure and innocent love story. They radiate youthful, first love vibes that you just cannot shake off. Although fanfictions are nice, it would be even better if these idols were able to star in an actual K-Drama!
Now, here are a few idols who we think would be perfect to star in a K-Drama about a pure, innocent love story.
1. TEMPEST's HyeongSeop
HyeongSeop recently became one of the MCs for SBS MTV's "The Show". So it wouldn't be too much of a surprise if he were to transition into acting sometime during his career. With his bright visuals and personality, he would totally fit the role of a student in a prestigious high school pursuing his studies and love. He could transform from the shy best friend to the sweet love interest in no time. We would definitely mark our calendars to watch HyeongSeop's drama!
2. P1Harmony's JongSeob
In many people's mind, JongSeob might come off as this cool, charismatic rapper with insane dance skills. While this is a pretty accurate description, we cannot forget that he's the maknae of the group and there are moments that this fact shines through. He could offer that surprise factor in a drama of the good, studious boy hiding his love for rap and hip-hop. Then, with the help of his co-star, JongSeob would be able to pursue his musical endeavors while falling in love. Just one look at his boyish smile and you'll be hooked.
3. CRAVITY's HyeongJun
Admittedly, HyeongJun has been growing up right in front of us. He's definitely not that 17-year-old boy that we all met in 2019. But he has been able to maintain his youthful energy, making him perfect for a role in a pure, innocent love story. He could play the duality of a human vitamin and romantic love interest all at the same time. We imagine him to as the childhood friend that transforms into the swoon-worthy boyfriend of the female lead. Now there has to be a production crew willing to make this happen!
4. Stray Kids' Felix
Felix' deep, low-toned voice is the embodiment of charisma. However, his visuals are the exact opposite, radiating a warmth that you can feel just by looking at him. It's with this duality that he would be perfect to take on a role in a K-Drama centered around an innocent love story. We could totally see Felix as the awkward best friend to the female lead, oblivious to her romantic advances. Then, towards the very end, he would realize his feelings and sweep everyone off of their feet. The story simply writes itself and we would love for this drama to become reality.
5. THE BOYZ' JuYeon
IST Entertainment
JuYeon is known for his stellar performances and fiery stage presence. But when he's not dancing or singing confidently into a mic, he has an aura of calm innocence that permeates from his gaze alone. JuYeon could go from a preconceived "bad boy" to the romantic interest that everyone cannot help but adore. His love would be genuine and sincere, making even viewers blush from his sweet gestures.
