5 Filming Locations From K-Drama "The King's Affection" Starring Park EunBin and SF9's RoWoon

"The King's Affection" has K-Drama fans on the edge of their seats waiting for the next episodes each week. Starring Park EunBin and SF9's RoWoon, the drama tells the story of a crown prince with a secret identity and a first love that gets rekindled. 

Some fans of the show might be curious about where these beautiful historical scenes have been filmed. So, we've compiled a list of the filming locations where "The King's Affection" scenes were captured.

1. Yongin Dae Jang Geum Park

Most of the drama was filmed at the Dae Jang Geum Park in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. Yongin city is in the province right next to Seoul.

It is the largest historical drama set in Korea. Every architectural structure inside the park is based on historical records. Many K-Dramas have been filmed there.

2. Daesandong HanJoo House 

The Daesandong HanJoo House is in Hangae Village in Seongju district. Seongju district is in North Gyeongsang Province. The composition of the village is well-known for reflecting traditional feng shui values.

3. Mungyeongsaejae Open Set

Other scenes from the drama were shot at the Mungyeongsaejae Provincial Park. Mungyeong Saejae is a mountain pass in the middle of Korea. It is in the North Gyeongsang Province in a city called Mungyeong.

It is yet another famous filming location for many historical dramas in Korea. Even the recent K-Drama "Lovers of the Red Sky" was filmed there.

4. Munheon Confucian Academy

The Munheon Confucian Academy (romanized as Munheon Seowon) is in Seocheon in South Chungcheong Province.

The academy was established to pay tribute to respected writers and their work. It was built during the Joseon Dynasty.

Dorongi Pond is in Taebaek of Gangwon Province.
